Cute Things In My Room

I was inspired to do a little post about some of my favourite bits and bobs in my bedroom, after I picked up these old fashioned Coca Cola tins last weekend. They are from a store called Indigo which was having a closing down sale, and I picked up both vintage-style boxes for £5. I'm currently using the blue cylinder to store my makeup brushes, and the red one to store lipsticks.
These little door hangers I've had for a while now. The blue Cath Kidston style one is filled with lavender and still smells lovely even after over a year, I picked it up from our local village fair last summer along with a matching towel and flannel (forgot I was an old woman...) The red one was a present from my mum when I moved to university last year. I think it's nice to have a little bit of your bedroom on the outside of the door.
The little owl is a doorstop, and was £5 from Primark, and perfect for my room as the door doesn't stay open on its own, and seeing as I have a little kitty cat running round all the time, I need to keep it open for her to pop in and out.
My pretty necklace stand was a bit of a spur of the moment purchase from eBay, I think I paid around £4 for it. It's not the most practical jewellery holder ever as it's not really high enough, but I think the swirly design and the little bird on the top just make it something really cute to have on your dressing table.
I think candles are such an easy way to make any room feel at home, especially ones that smell as delicious as these. The cinnamon scent is so Christmassy, perfect for when I get in after a long day, and I find the vanilla very comforting. Both of these were about £1.50 from Primark. The silver heart holder was a gift from one of my best friends, and the hearts spin around when the candle is lit, reflecting pretty shapes all over the walls. Inside this one I always have a Yankee candle sampler, which are all over ebay for less than £2.
And finally, probably the cutest thing in my room. My little Flo!
