Topshop Magic Liner

Topshop Magic Liner - £8

I first gave this eyeliner a little swatch on my hand when I visited Newcastle about a month ago, and was really impressed with the fine line that the felt tip nib left behind. I didnt think much else about it until a few hours later when I noticed the line literally had not budged or smudged from its original place. As I have slightly hooded eyelids one thing I really look for in my eyeliners is staying quality, as my eyeliner tends to print against my brow bone and smudge off after a short amount of time.

The fine point and long length of the pen makes it really easy to create both precise and thicker lines, and is really helpful for perfecting the cat eye flick which I wear most days.  I usually use MAC gel liner with a very thin brush to do my liner, but the Topshop Magic liner is much easier to get the perfect shape with. I also really like that you dont have to press too hard with it as my eyes get quite red and sore fairly easily, and this is lovely and gentle on thin skin. I really love the packaging of the Topshop 'Sisters of the New Moon' range too, all with a silvery, fortune teller kind of vibe, its different to anything else I have in my makeup bag and really on trend for summer.

The one thing I'm not 100% in love with about this liner is the 'blackness' of the ink inside, it takes a couple of layers to get a really true black line onto your eye, but I've resolved this by tracing over the top of it with my MAC Fluidline gel liner to get as dark a finish as possible. Generally really impressed with this eyeliner, yay Topshop!
