OOTD: grey marl sweater

Grey Marl Jumper - American Apparel
Polkadot Blouse - Topshop
Leather Shorts - Miss Selfridge

Today is one of those days when you have a little to-do list, but each one of the things is in itself a mammoth task. Mine included reading a Renaissance play for tomorrow (SNOREEEE), going to Westfields to pick up some essentials, and the biggest of them all, writing my CV. I decided to get the shopping trip out the way first and popped to Stratford this lunchtime but didnt have much success, coming home with just a pack of envelopes and some new black tights. Exciting stuff! I planned to ask for a sample of Vitalumiere Aqua from the Chanel counter but the consultant looked extremely fierce and scary with very angular eyebrows, so I chickened out thinking she'd probably frown upon me, a trampy cheapskate customer in my smelly Barbour jacket.

I was actually really annoyed at myself when I got home because I'd been planning on buying a bottle of Moroccan Oil from Buyapowa for cheap, but after checking a few times and seeing there was still plenty in stock, the next time I looked they'd all gone. FACE PALM. I'm nearly out of the sample that my hairdresser gave me and its become one of my essential products now so I'm going to have to bite the bullet and fork out for a full sized bottle sooner or later. The thought pains me.

  4. Just to let you know the body shop sell a "miracle oil" thats essentially the same as the moroccan oil, but retails at £10 and works just as well. x

  5. Gorgeous photos! I get quite intimidated by the women at the makeup counters with their flawless complxions - we need self service high end makeup shops like Sephora! x

  7. Ha makeup counter people frighten the life out of me, as do overly arched brows so I can imagine the combination being quite scary!

  11. Love the contrast between the leather and the cute polka dots. Such a great outfit!

As for the foundation sample, last time I tried to get one from Dior, the woman just spent 15min painting my face 5 shades darker because she believed "foundation should be all about giving me a healthy glow, like a summer holiday".... More like a very bad tanning job! Hahaha!
