Motel Rocks / Glossybox Bloggers Evening

Photos courtesy of First Door To The Left

When the invite to the Motel Rocks / Glossybox Bloggers Evening fell into my inbox I was half super excited and half incredibly annoyed because only the day before I'd paid nearly £50 to go home to Liverpool for the week! Typical! But I knew I'd be sat stewing in my own regret on the Thursday night if I didnt go, so I zipped my suitcase back up, shoved my poor cat back in her box and got back on the bloody Virgin Pendelino train (and had a massive weirdo sat next to me the whole time, yay).

I arrived sweaty, smelling of train, with no makeup to touch up with, and the only non-scruff outfit I'd taken home with me, so was a little apprehensive as I waited to meet a couple of other bloggers. But ah well! It turns out I realised that I'd definitely made the right decision once I walked in and saw a popcorn vendor and a candy floss machine, stood next to a table of Haribo and cupcakes. Aswell as the food (#fatty), I had an amazing time!
After meeting Charlotte and Stacey outside Topshop we headed to the showroom, and were the first ones there which was lovely as we got to have a proper look around Motel's new Christmas range.

Having worked right next to the Motel rail when I worked in Topshop I had a pretty fixed idea of what to expect from the new range. I thought it was all pretty tight, unforgiving, and had memories of trying on a few of their pieces and wanting to kill myself looking in the mirror. However, I thought the new range was really lovely, and much more accommodating to anyone above a size XS. A few of my favourite pieces were the printed jeans, a button up leopard print dress and a beautiful winter coat (not the turquoise one above, I just thought that one was jokes and reminded me of Sulley).
Each blogger who attended was very generously allowed to choose any item to take home, and I opted for an amazing black long sleeved playsuit with a low cross-over V neck which I thought would be perfect for Christmas nights out back at home. I really cant wait to receive it!

Big thank you to Motel and Glossybox for arranging such a fantastic event, absolutely rammed with every blogger you can think of! Wish I was a bit better at putting faces to blogs to Twitters because when I arrived home and started checking out tweets, I realised there'd been at least 5 bloggers there who I would have loved to meet! Such an idiot.

Also shout out to Charlotte, Stacey, Mary, Elodie and Jess for being so gorge that I felt like a potato, and for keeping me company!

Dont forget my giveaway! :)
