Navy Velvet Skater Dress - Topshop
Double Necklace - (cant remember, Topshop or Primark?)
Spiked Bracelet - Forever 21
Leather Chelsea Boots - River Island
This is the outfit I eventually chose to wear to The Only Way is Blogging last week in Babble Bar near Mayfair. It was my first bloggers event so I was quite nervous about going on my own, so the day before I organised over Twitter to meet up at the tube station with other anxious loners! After we'd all gathered together we headed from Green Park to the luxury bar (which was so swanky! Leather boots, chandeliers, the works!) The day included makeup demonstrations from Vivo and FashionistA, who gave us some beautiful makeup to take home which I'll be reviewing soon, as well as HTML workshops from Faye, photography workshops from Zoe, and finally a Q&A session with Lily, Kate and Hayley who was in charge of the whole day.
I had an absolutely amazing day and met some really great girls, particularly Annabelle and Mary who I latched myself onto towards the end, who I hope to see again soon.
Back to my outfit, I picked up this dress especially for the occasion, it's the one I mentioned in a previous post, and I absolutely love it. It's a really flattering skater shape which skims over my big hips and bum area which often makes me look a bit out of proportion. It also feels soooo soft! I cant help but keep stroking myself when I wear it haha! (weirdo)
I edged it up a bit with my old leather jacket, rosary style necklace and this seriously bad-ass bracelet I bought from Forever 21. It's slightly lethal but I love it!
Finally I teamed the dress with my brand new babies, my chelsea boots. After having worn last years winter boots to death I treated myself to some new ones, as I cant wear my ballet pumps now that its starting to get chilly! They are absolutely classic and perfect and look amazing with so many different styles of clothing. The only thing is that at the moment they are rubbing soo badly and ripping my feet to shreds, but the wearing-in process with any new stiff boots is unfortunately inevitable and must be done! I'll get there eventually!
